The result of a new censor area is immediately visible for an editor but just applied in the step image after saving the changes. Removing an added but unsaved censor area was not possible, till now. We added this option so an editor can undone these kind of changes without the need to cancel all changes made. Read more about this new functionality and other changes below.
Remove censor area before save
Censor areas are often used to mask sensitive information not directly needed for the Instruction. When adding a censor area, the image will be adjusted when the change is saved. In the period between adding and saving the new censor area, the result of adding the censor area is visible but the image is not updated yet. When an editor has made several changes and wants to remove the added censor area, this was only possibly using the Cancel button causing all changes to be lost.
We have updated the styling and behavior of unsaved censor areas. These censor areas now have a dotted border. When hovering the area, a cross will be shown in the top right corner which can be used to remove the censor area.
UX improvements
The modals used to confirm a remove or delete action now have a uniform styling and behavior
Several text fields have been updated to a generic text field component. Other text fields will follow so all text fields look and behave the same
Technical improvements
The API backend has been upgrade to the latest version of .NET for bugfixes and performance improvements
Orphaned code related to the removed step description has been deleted
