How did we protect your data?

We handle your data carefully, which is why we have taken technical and organizational measures. We chose the measures taken based on the sensitivity of the data, the associated risks, technology that is available and the costs of applying the measure.

The implemented measures and choices made are regularly evaluated and, if necessary, the measures are adjusted.

Who can access your data? Who do we share your information with?

Only people who work for SelfGuide can access your data if they actually need the data to perform their tasks.

We share data outside our organization as little as possible and only when necessary, such as:

  • If this is required by law.
  • If this fits, or is necessary for, the purposes for which we collect your data and this is allowed.
  • If one of our partners needs your information to perform a service.

Of course, we don't sell or rent your data.

How long do we keep your data?

We do not keep data longer than necessary for the purpose for which we recorded the data. For example, we must keep invoices, which may contain personal data, for the tax authorities. We comply with these legal terms.

The terms we use:

  • Statutory period if necessary, for example 10 years for invoices.
  • User accounts for the total duration of the agreement including the exit period.
  • Backups for disaster recovery purposes are stored for 21 days. Deleted data will be permanently and completely deleted after this period.
  • The period that we keep contact details depends on the purpose. For example, for a support question, this is during processing; for a newsletter, this is as long as you remain subscribed.

What rights do you have when it comes to your privacy?

The privacy legislation gives you rights, so you can ask us to:

  • View the data that we process about you.
  • To have incorrect data corrected, deleted or blocked.
  • Restrict the use of your data.
  • To transfer data to you.

You can always withdraw your previously given consent to process data later. We may opt out of this request if we need the same information for another purpose that does not require consent. We will then store the data for that purpose.

How can you make use of the above rights?
