There is a growing need to be able to use one username in several SelfGuide environments. A complete overhaul of login.selfguide.com was performed to support these use cases.
Using multiple SelfGuide environments as an editor or user is a growing need. We often this in cases such as:
Previously, this was not possible when accessing SelfGuide through https://login.selfguide.com. for example in the SelfGuide Recorder. This service (https://login.selfguide.com) has been build from the ground up to support multi-tenancy. At the same time, SelfGuide as product has been updated to seamlessly integrated with the newly developed login service
The current release prepares the SelfGuide environments for the new login service, which will be made available next week.
The SelfGuide Recorder was developed for devices running Windows but has not been optimized for those that support Windows tablet mode. A good example of such a device is the Microsoft Surface, which switches between tablet and laptop mode depending on whether the type cover is attached. In tablet mode, SelfGuide was previously displayed in the mobile UI, which does not support editing functionality.
With recent enhancements to support Chromium v133, we have also improved compatibility for devices running in Windows tablet mode. From now on, the SelfGuide Recorder can be used if a device is in Windows tablet mode.
The application icons below have been added:
