Based on feedback and user interaction, we have made some changes in the practice mode for exercises. These changes are intended to improve the experience when users perform an exercise in SelfGuide. Read more about this and other changes below.
The practice mode gives the user the possibility to learn by doing, the users receives an assignment and is required to interact with SelfGuide to reach the end of the exercise. While doing, users sometimes did not really get a hint when expected or by accident closed the exercise and needed to start from the beginning. The changes below have been made to improve this functionality:
A list view can be sorted on a specific column by clicking on a the header of the column. The behavior of the clicks has been changed to be able to clear (back to default) the custom sort preference. When clicking the column header (and currently no sort is active on the column), the behavior below is applied:
Note: the third click behavior is not applicable on the column used for the default sort
The Save button in the Instruction editor should only be enabled when a change has actually been made and can be saved. Not all edge cases where covered by this behavior, for example adding and directly removing a censor area. The missing edge cases are added so the button behaves as expected.
SelfGuide is not 100% perfect and sometimes functionality does not behave as expected. When such a situation occurs, SelfGuide always tries to inform the user about the situation using the Oops modal. When users reach out to us for help, the more precise we know what happened, the easier it is to help and hopefully solve the issue. To make this contact easier, the modal now:
Too continue the UX improvement of the last releases, with this release modals in SelfGuide will be updated. All modals of a specific type (warning, notification, etc.) now look and behave the same. In the same effort, the look & feel of several modals has been improved.
