Using the keyboard for interaction with an application might work faster and be an accustomed way of work. We have added a keyboard shortcut to be able to close a modal using the keyboard. Read more about this and other changes below.
Modals in SelfGuide are used in several editor scenarios like confirming a delete action and creating a new Instruction, Course or User Guide. It is not unlikely that the editor will change his mind and wants to close the modal without performing the action. To make it easier to close the modal, Escape (ESC) as keyboard shortcut has been added. This behavior is applicable in most modals except a few, these will be aligned in the upcoming release.
The past few weeks, the SelfGuide Recorder might have been flagged as malware. Read more details about this incident on the status page.
This malware alert is a false positive!
Despite the false positive, editor do face issues working with the SelfGuide Recorder. Several changes have been implemented to overcome the malware alert. A new version of the SelfGuide Recorder is available on the download site.
With the section feature available in preview, we did continue working on the Course so Instructions and Exercises can be mixed within a section. This functionality enables editors to guide users between getting knowledge by reading Instructions and practicing the gained knowledge using Exercises.
