The ProductivityPerformer continues as SelfGuide, a new name reflecting the core values of the product. Self standsfor the self-sustainability of users, stimulated by central and uniform knowledge management. Guide reflects the guidance the product offers to editors and users. The ease of use on a daily base is an additional benefit: a shorter name, easy to write and pronounce, no need for abbreviation and a straightforward interpretation. We are very proud about the new name and the added value the name delivers to the product.
This release does focus on the rebranding, no additional functionality is added. Based on the previous release, the changes below are made:
All links in the product use the selfguide.com domain
The recorder is updated with a new name, colors, upload progress image, etc.
Some remarks to be aware of:
Starting 1 december, all traffic to *.productivityperformer.com is redirect to *.selfguide.com. Existing hyperlinks keep working due to the redirect but, over time, the old domains will be removed. After the rebranding, start changing hyperlinks to use the new URL.
When installing the SelfGuide recorder, any existing installation of the ProductivityPerformer Recorder is updated, there is no need to uninstall the old recorder manual.
A fresh install of the SelfGuide recorder uses a different path, this can impact software distribution platform, anti-virus exclusions or a security restriction exclusion on a system
