07 Februari - Warn by unsaved changes (Course)

With this release, we added the unsaved change behavior to the Course edit window. If unsaved changes are present when navigating outside the edit window, a warning is presented with the choice to Discard the change, Cancel navigation or Save the changes. Read more about this and other changes below.

Unsaved changes for Course

Similar to the AWI edit window (release 80) and the User Guide edit window (release 81), the Course edit window will present a warning when there are unsaved changes and the user tries to leave the window.

Rich text editor (Preview)

We frequently received feedback indicating the need for rich text within SelfGuide. The User Guide preface and annotations on an AWI step are examples of sections that could benefit rich text features. In the last weeks we have been working on incorporating a rich text editor. The rich text editor is currently in preview and it will be released later this month. Rich text is available in:

• Annotation on an AWI step
• User Guide preface
• User Guide chapter introduction
• Course preface
• Course module introduction

The rich text editor currently supports:

• Bold
• Italic
• Underline
• Numbered lists
• Bulleted lists
• Hyperlinks

Recorder upgraded to .NET Framework 4.8

The recorder has been updated to .NET Framework 4.8, the latest available version. .NET Framework 4.8 is commonly used and supported in:

• Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11
• Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2022

With this upgrade, we also verified that the recorder works on the newest release of Windows 11.

Bugfixes:

• An annotation on an AWI step was removed when clicked in the right corner of the annotation, even when the remove icon was not visible.
• The tiles in the Course library where not updated after editing a course.
• User Guide description was not visible on the tile for an imported User Guide.
