23 December - Home Window

This article is from before the rebranding to SelfGuide. Text and images can include the old product name ProductivityPerformer or its abbreviation PP.

The last release for 2019 and a release with some nice improvements. A home window is introduced to give users a nice, intuitive and non-disturbing landing page. This feature gives the product a better look and a more user-friendly first-time experience.

Personal home window

A home window is introduced to optimize the user experience, especially when using the ProductivityPerformer for the first time. Previously, the user landed in the AWI library, which was too distractive due to the amount of non-relative AWIs. The home window shows relevant information to welcome the user, explain the purpose of the product, shows information about available AWIs and guides the user towards the usage of the product.

Uniform drop down suggestion behaviour

Adding tags to an AWI is made easier by showing suggestions based on already available tags. This helps editors to quickly add tags and all editors to keep tags consistent. The suggestion behavior is improved, suggestions are shown when the input field is selected and not after the first character and is uniform for applications and tags.

Submit feedback from the AWI Viewer

The AWI Viewer is optimized for users to use an AWI, to improve the user experience we make it easier to use the AWI Viewer. In this release the feedback button is made available, so a user does not have to use the AWI detail window to submit feedback. While submitting feedback, the AWI Viewer is kept open so the user can continue directly.

Help icon in the navigation pane

The website for the ProductivityPerformer is online, see https://www.productivityperformer.com/, and contains information like frequently asked questions helping users to use the product. We add a help icon in the navigation pane so users can get more information when stuck.

Optimize AWI Viewer performance

To add and increase the business value of the ProductivityPerformer, it is important that available information can be found and used quickly. The performance of the AWI Viewer has a direct impact on this subject, so we invested time to improve the performance.
